FALL RIVER – Jose Felix, age 89 of Fall River, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Fenais da Luz, São Miguel, Açores, he was the husband of the late Olivia (Viveiros) Felix and the son of the late Agostinho T. and Maria da Gloria (Costa) Felix. Prior to retiring, Jose worked for the Plymouth Rubber Co. of Canton as a Machine Operator for over 30 years. He was a parishioner of Espirito Santo Church and a member of the Our Lady of the Light Band Club and the St. John’s Club.
He is survived by 9 children: Natalia Mello of CA, Fatima Soares, Manuel Felix, Cecilia Santos, Sandy Sousa of Fall River, Susan Arruda of Swansea, Anna Bernardo, Joey Felix, Lucy Moniz, of Fall River; siblings: Armarinda Carvalho and Cecelia Felix of Fall River; 19 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Mary Lou Pereira, and the brother of the late Agostinho and Fernando Felix
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St., Fall River Wednesday at 8:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial in Espirito Santo Church, Alden St., at 9:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Tuesday 5-8 P.M. www.rogersfuneral.com
