Joseph DeStefano passed away on Friday, January 8th at the Spaulding Nursing Center in the North End. He was 63. Born in Foggia, Italy he was the son of the late Emilio and Maria (Rossi) DeStefano. He came to the United States as a boy and lived his life in the North End. He worked as a baker for many years and was also a fine carpenter.
He was a devoted brother of Bart DeStefano and his wife Maria of Revere, Rocco DeStefano of Burlington, the late Antonio DeStefano and his surviving wife Antoinette of the North End. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Wednesday, January 13th at 8:45 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Leonard Church, Hanover St., Boston’s North End, at 9:45 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4 – 8 PM. Interment Private.
