Charles Francis Kinnane, 93, of Westport, “died reluctantly” on January 7, 2016 with his family by his side from complications of multiple myeloma. Born in 1922 in Fall River, he was the youngest child of Margaret Mullen and John Henry Kinnane. He was married for 64 years to Janet McNally Kinnane and was the father of 8 children: Susan Manning (James), Charles II (Susan Pieri), Paul (Cecily Harsch), Janet (Conrad Smith), Brendan (Ellen Lynch), John (Mary Paul) Anne (Christopher Rockett) and Elizabeth (Sean Conway), and grandfather of 39 and great grandfather of 9. His wife and family were the center of his life.
He attended the Massachusetts School of Pharmacy before he served in the army in WWII. After the war, he was a representative for Massengill Drug Company before establishing Kinnane Real Estate in Swansea where he was also active in civic affairs.
In retirement, his favorite moments were those filled with family. His zest for life was contagious. He will be remembered by so many whose lives he touched with his great generosity, humor, humility and grace.
