Eliza Hill Holland, 106, of Sparks passed away Sunday, January 10, 2016, at Cook Senior Living Center in Adel. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2016, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with Rev. Dillard Ensley officiating. Mrs. Holland will be laid to rest at Lakeview Baptist Church Cemetery in Lenox. The family will receive friends Monday, January 11, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Greg Nimmo, Zach Nimmo, Tanner Nimmo, Matthew Lyles, Stuart Lawrence, Kolby Lawrence and Jackie Holland will serve as pallbearers.
Born June 21, 1909, in Jennings (Hamilton County), Florida, Mrs. Holland was the daughter of the late B. B. Hill and Annie Eliza Hiers Hill. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Willie Holland; three daughters, Mildred Holland, Jean Graham and Nell Montgomery; and 17 siblings.. She was a homemaker and member of Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church in Cook County.
Mrs. Holland is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel and Sandra Holland of Tifton and Jack and Riet Holland of Goldsboro, North Carolina; a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Larry Lawrence of Sparks; 13 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great grandchildren.
