Obituary

Joseph Matthew Dambach, 45, of Hooksett, passed away unexpectedly Friday morning at Elliot Hospital, surrounded by family members.

He was born July 14, 1970, in Cleveland, Ohio, son of the late Robert A. Dambach and Mary Francis (Slattery) Dambach. Joe graduated from West High school in Manchester in 1989 and from the University of New Hampshire in 1993 with a BA in Psychology and a minor Business Administration.

Joe started his career at Cabletron Systems, moving on to an enterprise account manager at Sprint, Verizon and most recently with Aruba-Hewlett Packard.

Joe loved his wife Chris and son Jack. He was an active figure in all of his son’s sports which included coaching baseball and flag football teams and spending countless hours with him in the woods hiking and biking.

Joe had many hobbies to include photography and writing but his biggest passion was biking. He was an avid fat biker and member of the State 9 Racing team. Joe was known in the southern NH mountain biking community for his unique fat bike trail rides. Joe placed 3rd in the 2015 Hampshire 100 -50Km Fat Bike category. He also took place in numerous biking races throughout the years, including Newton’s Revenge, a 7 mile bike ride up the Mount Washington Auto Road. He was a member of the NH Cycling Club and raced at the NH Motor Speedway for many years. Joe also loved football. He was a 4 year letterman on the West High school football team and loved to watch the Patriots play on Sundays with his son Jack.

Joe was the loving husband of Christine (Bolton) and father of 2 sons, Jack, and Luke (predeceased). Joe was from a large family that includes 36 nieces and nephews. Joe is survived by his mother Mary F. Dambach, and 15 brothers and sisters: his identical twin brother Jim Dambach of Bedford, NH, and his wife Kim, his sister Patti Coreno of North Ridgeville, OH, Ann Onusko of Bay Village, OH, Judy Pik and her husband Alex, of North Ridgeville, OH, Peggy Koelliker and her husband Ned of Avon Lake, OH, Robert Dambach of Manchester, NH, William Dambach of Boston, MA, Jack Dambach of Homosassa, FL, Tim Dambach and his wife Kim of Auburn, NH, Bonnie O’Neil and her husband Terry of North Attleboro, MA, David Dambach and his wife Marga of Ponce, Puerto Rico, Joan Potter and her husband Dan of Windham, NH, Michael Dambach of North Andover, MA, Nancy Barnes and her husband Dan of Bedford, MA and Colleen Nalette and her husband Ray of Wesley Chapel, Florida.

Joe died at such a young age. He will be missed dearly by all of his family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at St. Raphael Church, 103 Walker St., Manchester. Spring burial will take place at a later date in Bedford Center Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to: Joe Dambach Memorial Fund at GoFundMe.com.
