Elsa M. Reyes passed away on the afternoon of Thursday January 7, 2016 at Savoy Nursing Home in New Bedford. Mrs. Reyes was 69 years old. She was the loving mother of Jose A. Reyes of Fall River, Joel Reyes of Providence, RI, Elsa Janet Reyes of Fall River, Jacqueline Reyes of Providence, RI and the late Rosario Reyes, Jr. who passed away in 2007. Mrs. Reyes was a proud grandmother of many and is also survived by many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was the loving sister of Maria Morales of Florida, Gloria Santana of Providence, RI, Carmen Fuentes of Hartford, CT, Maria Velasquez of Puerto Rico and the late Victor Reyes.
Elsa was born on February 11, 1946 in Yauco, Puerto Rico, the daughter of the late Rosario Reyes, Sr. and Gloria Rivera Soliz Reyes. She was a hardworking and committed homemaker who loved to spend time with her loving family and many friends. Elsa was also a talented cook and loved to go dancing. Her spirit has touched so many and it will live on with those who love her so much.
A Visitation will be held on Monday January 11, 2016 from 12-2pm at Taunton Funeral Home 8 Crapo Street (off Tremont St/Route 140)Taunton. Cremation will follow at Woodlawn-North Purchase Crematory in Attleboro.
