Lena M. Landry, 81, of Manchester died January 7, 2016 at a local healthcare facility after a period of declining health.
Born in Merrimack, NH on June 26, 1934, she was the daughter of George and Aurora Miville. She was educated in the local school system and earned her nursing degree from the Notre Dame Hospital Nursing School.
She had worked as a registered nurse at the former Notre Dame Hospital before retiring from the Catholic Medical Center.
Lena enjoyed trips to the beach and lake, playing cards, bingo, the piano and organ. She cherished times spent with her family and loved nothing more than preparing large meals for all her family gatherings.
She was predeceased by her husband Arthur W. Landry in 1994 and her daughter Annette Roy in 2002.
Family members include her seven children, Helena Pepin and husband Norman of Manchester, Jeanne Landry and significant other Michael Sereno of Manchester, Michael Landry and wife Anna of Augusta, ME, Leo Landry and wife Pauline of Tennessee, Cecile Fain and husband Gleason of Adrian, MI, Thomas Landry and wife Jeannie of Flagstaff, AZ, Matthew Landry and wife Tanya of Manchester; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three siblings, Lucienne Lafond of Manchester, Roland and Maurice Miville; many nephews, nieces and cousins.
A service was held on Saturday, January 9, 2016 in the chapel at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, Manchester.
