Obituary

Eugenia Dimitropoulos passed away peacefully at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital on Wednesday morning. She was 93. Born and raised in Messine, Greece, she was the daughter of the late George and Anthoula Sarantakis. Eugenia came with her family to the United States in 1975. They lived in Boston before settling in Medford, 20 years ago. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Eugenia was happiest spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The beloved wife of the late Spyridon Dimitropoulos, Eugenia leaves her son, Theodore Dimitropoulos and his wife Nancy of Medford and her daughter Stavroula Tsikrika of Greece. She was a loving grandmother to Spyridon and Erin; Eugenia; Sophia and Peter, Eleni and Anthony, all here, as well as Gregory; Spyridon and Sophia, Tula and George, all of Greece.
Eugenia leaves her great-grandchildren, Pietro, Stavro, Zoi, Domenic, Alexa Rose, Constantine, Mary Giota, Petrina, Panagiotis and a great-grandson soon to be baptized.

Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St. Medford on Monday January 11th at 9 AM followed by a funeral service in St. Athanasius the Great Church, 4 Appleton St., Arlington at 10 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Family and friends are invited to attend and may visit at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 thru 8 PM
