Michael J. Young, 53 of Milford, NH passed away after complications following a heart transplant. He was born April 1, 1962, the son of Carole Sampson Young and the late Leonard Young. He was a former resident of Londonderry, NH and Stoneham, MA for many years.
Michael proudly served his country in the Navy and Massachusetts Army National Guard. He was an avid Patriots fan, and enjoyed fishing, collecting “things”, camping, cooking, and especially spending time with his children.
Michael was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, and friend of many. A person who would give his all to help others. He spent a lot of his time volunteering for the Londonderry Wildcats and enjoyed being involved with Hudson, NH Cyclones Hockey Association. His passing will leave a void in the lives of all of us who had the pleasure of knowing him, but has left us with many wonderful memories.
He is survived by his two daughters, Joan Mary Young of Wilmington, MA and Shannon Michelle Young of Londonderry, NH, one son, Sean Michael Young of Londonderry, NH, two brothers, John Young and his wife Tracy, Leonard Young, his sister Debra Flanagan and husband Bill, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours were held on Sunday, January 10, 2016 from 2:00pm to 5:00 pm at Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, January 11, 2016 at 10:00 am at St. Jude's Parish, 435 Mammoth Road, Londonderry. Interment followed in Holy Cross Cemetery, Gilcreast Road, Londonderry. NH.
