Obituary

SALEM – David F. Arrington, 56, of Salem, died Monday, January 4, 2016 at the Tufts Medical Center, Boston, following a long illness and with family at his side.

Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Robert F. and Eileen E. (Quinlan) Arrington and was a lifelong resident of the city. He was a graduate of Salem High School, received his Bachelor’s Degree at Salem State College, and his Masters Degree from Suffolk University.

Prior to his retirement in 2013 due to illness, he was employed as a Senior Systems Analyst at the Internal Revenue Service in Boston and Andover for 29 years.

He is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Paul J. and Nancy A. Arrington of Danvers, a nephew and his wife, Scott and AmyLynn Arrington of Chelsea, a niece, Lauren M. Arrington of Salem, three aunts and an uncle, Margaret Church, Betty Ann Quinlan, Barbara and Paul Dumas, all of Peabody, several cousins and a circle of longtime friends.

A Memorial service will be held Monday, January 11, 2016 at 10 am at the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem. Visiting hours are Sunday from 2 to 5 pm.
