Obituary

LeRoy Scott Hamilton
Monday evening, January 4, 2016, Scott peacefully passed away.
Scott was born in Froid, Montana on September 9, 1922 to Eleanor (Scott) and Forrest Hamilton. The family moved to the Yakima Valley where Scott graduated from Selah High School in 1940. He worked at Boeing until 1942, when he enlisted in the US Navy. After the war, Scott was honorably discharged in 1946.
Scott returned to the Yakima Valley and went into business for himself. Scott sold his business and moved to Prosser in the 1970’s. He went to Alaska where he worked in the fishing industry a few months each year. Scott fully retired in the mid 1990’s.
Scott enjoyed hunting, fishing, photography and genealogy. Most of all he enjoyed visiting with his family.
Scott is survived by his two sons; LeRoy Scott Hamilton II (Vicky) of Prosser, WA and Gregory Clark Hamilton (Crystal) of Phoenix, AZ; sisters, Jean Gottgetreau of Puyallup, WA; Jackie Gordanier of Oceanside, OR; Shirley Becker of Yuba City, CA; Marlene Bailey (Harvey) of Lacey, WA: and Darlene Bailey (Hubert) of Sumner, WA. Scott will be deeply missed by his grandchildren: Jennifer Lynn Bolstad, LeRoy Scott Hamilton III, Mellissa Beth Harvold and Timothy Aaron Hamilton; great grandchildren Isaiah Ryder Withrow, Jaiden Sheree Hamilton, Taegan Marie Harvold, Chloe Rayne Bolstad, Thane Danger David Harvold and Serenity Lee Hamilton; and many nieces and nephews.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents and best friend, Richard Clark.
Graveside services for family will be at the Old Soldiers Home and Cemetery in Orting, WA.
