Theresa M. Godin 91, of formerly Fairmont Manor died peacefully, January 5, 2016 at the Friendly Home. She was the wife of the late Joseph Armand Godin. Born in Claremont, NH, she was a daughter of the late Irenee and Victoria (Cote) Filion. Theresa was a stitcher for the former US Rubber Co., Jacob Finkelstein & Sons, and Narraganset Knitting. She enjoyed sewing, all types of needle work and crafts with her two nieces Gail and Carol.
Theresa is survived by two daughters, Rita Keegan and Richard of Woonsocket, Susan Scott and her husband Chuck of North Smithfield; three sons, Armand Godin and Susan of North Smithfield, Larry Godin of Glendale, and Jim Godin and Lori of Dayville, CT; a sister Annette Blanchard of North Smithfield, seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, January 9, 2015 at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, Church St. in Slatersville, Burial will follow in the parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, PO Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908 in her memory would be appreciated.
