Kathryn Achziger, 82, longtime Prosser resident, passed away on December 17, 2015 in Pasco.
She was born on April 18, 1933 in Douthat, Oklahoma to George and Rose (Pruitt) Bumpaous. She was raised and educated in Pasco. Kathryn married Frederick Achziger on August 11, 1966 in Benton City. She worked at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital and after moving to Prosser, worked at Seneca Foods until her retirement.
She loved the Lord and was a longtime member of the Church of God; she enjoyed baking and was an accomplished seamstress.
She is survived by six children, Ralph Creech of Arizona, Nadine (Dan) Lemmon of Prosser, Rose Bell of Grandview, Kim (Doug) Stevens of Grandview, Pauline (Kyle) Oslin of Roy, WA, and Kitty (Dan) Goodwin of Colfax; fourteen grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Edna Bull, two brothers; Jack (Adrenia) Bumpaous and Richard (Zoma) Bumpaous all of Pasco; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Achziger on December 23, 1986; four brothers, Jerry, George, Dean and Joe Bumpaous; and her parents.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, January 9th at 12:00 p.m. at the Prosser Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Point Church (1915 North Road 84 in Pasco). You may leave a message for the family at www.prosserfuneralhome.com
