Obituary

Ralph J. Baggitt, 82, of Derry, NH, died Sunday January 3, 2016 in Parkland Medical Center in Derry. He was born in Neptune, NJ on February 4, 1933, a son of the late Ralph and Edna (Clayton) Baggitt. He had been a resident of Derry for the past 21 years, formerly living in Lawrence, MA. Mr. Baggitt was a proud US Navy veteran serving from 1952 until retiring in 1971. He enjoyed working with Laidlaw (now First Student) as a bus driver. Mr. Baggitt enjoyed watching old black and white Westerns, and enjoyed traveling and hiking. He was an avid NE sports fan.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara (King) Baggitt of Derry; his daughter, Kimberly Guerra and her husband Jeffrey of Groton, MA; two sons, Michael Baggitt, and Erick Baggitt both of Derry; his granddaughter, Samantha Guerra; his grandson, David Guerra; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours were held on Thursday, January 7th from 6 - 9pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Funeral services were held on Friday at 9:30am in the funeral home. The burial followed at 11:30am in the NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy., Boscawen, NH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to an organization that benefits a veteran or a veteran's family.
