Kathleen M. Barker, of Woburn passed away peacefully January 4, 2016 at the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington following a short illness. She was 92 years of age. She was the beloved wife of the late John Barker. Born in Lytham, England she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret (Clabby) Oxley.
Kathleen came to the United States in December of 1957 with her young children and settled in Woburn. She was a devoted wife and mother focusing all of her time on her family and making sure that their home was always a warm and welcoming place. She was a talented seamstress and also enjoyed cooking, gardening and swimming.
In addition to her late husband, Kathleen is sadly predeceased by her son, the late James K. Barker. She is survived by her sons; John Barry Barker of Louisville, KY, Robert A. Barker and his wife Rebecca of Freedom, NH, Stephen D. barker and his wife Anna of Saugus, Joseph F. Barker and his wife Jane of Robbinsville, NJ, and daughter-in-law Patty Barker of Billerica. She is also survived by 12 loving grandchildren and 5 loving great grandchildren. Sister of Lou Donoghue of Yarmouth.
Funeral from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Thursday, January 7th, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 280 Main St., Woburn, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday from 4 thru 8 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Woburn.
