Robert David Hanson, 76, beloved husband of 51 years of Coralie Gail (Oldford) Hanson, passed at home with family by his side on Saturday. Robert was the proud father of Kimberly (Arthur Sullivan), Mark (Renee), Jason (Amanda) and Stephen (Sara). Known as “Grandpa”, he was the loving grandfather of Lisette, Luc, Owen, Liam, Padric, Madalyn, Izzabelle, Stephen, Jr., Maxximus, Christina, Sebastian, Richard, Joshua and Michael. Robert was the brother of William and Donald Hanson.
Robert retired from the Stanley School in Swampscott. He was known as Mr. H to students and staff. A military veteran, he served with the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army and the Air National Guard during the Cold War, Bay of Pigs and Vietnam era. He belonged to the 2nd Corps of Cadets, Massachusetts Air National Guard, Salem, MA. He was also a proud member of the American Legion. He loved his country and proudly displayed his American Flag daily.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Service on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114 / 1-A] Salem at 11:00 A.M.
