KENJESKA, Katherine Of Newton Lower Falls, January 2, 2016. Beloved daughter of the late Albin and Rozalia (Oliszewska) Kenjeska.
Sister of the late Blanche LeBrun and Jean Young. Aunt of Joseph LeBrun and his wife Bonnie of Wellesley, Elisabeth Burnell and her husband Michael of North Hampton, NH, and the late Joan LeBrun.
Great aunt of Gregory LeBrun of Natick, Mark LeBrun of Wellesley, Elissa Burnell McGee of NYC, Diana Burnell of North Hampton, NH. Also survived by many great great nieces and nephews.
Kay was treated with dignity and compassion by the staff at St. Patrick's Manor, Framingham. She was devoted to family, neighborhood, community, church and country. Like "Auntie" Mame", Kay showered family and friends with love, fun, support, laughter, energy and memories. Notably, she selflessly helped care for her much loved quadraplegic niece, Joan. Kind neighbors got back in gratitude whatever they offered in helping hands.
Ninety year resident of Newton, Kay, thrived while participating in senior center activities including exercise/social programs. St. John the Evangelist Church in Wellesley Hills provided joy and solace serving as Kay's lifelong spiritual headquarters. Kay loved her country and proudly donated quarts of blood during World War II and voted regularly. Remember Kay "Lella" next time you shovel snow, jump into the waves, rake leaves, wrap Christmas presents, root for the Red Sox, run the Marathon, belt out a tune, and help an underdog.
Funeral Mass in St. John the Evangelist Church, corner of Glen Rd. & Washington St., (Rte. 16), Wellesley Hills, Tuesday at 12 Noon. Relatives and friends kindly invited.
