José C. Andrade, age 72, of Tiverton, RI, passed away on Saturday January 2, 2016. Born in Rosario Lagoa São Miguel, Açores he was the son of the late Antonio and Maria Isabel daCosta(Galego) Andrade and was the loving husband of Dalila (Galego) Andrade. José was a laborer for Pavao Construction, a parishioner of Santo Christo Church, and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, loved gardening and taking on projects around the house.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children; Tony M. Andrade (wife Natasha) and Michael J. Andrade (wife Hanna), siblings; Judith Galego, Luisa Carvalho, Ana Rego, and Isabel Melo, grandchildren; Vanessa DeSousa, Kayla Mendes, Jonah Andrade, Thailynn Andrade and great grandson Brentley DeSousa. He was also the brother of the late Arthur Andrade.
His private funeral arrangements are under the direction of Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at Santo Christo Church at 9:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital Tribute Program, P.O. Box 1000, Department 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
