Obituary

George H. “Beau” Ainley, age 88, in Plymouth, MA, formerly of Wakefield, RI, died on January 1, 2016 at Stafford Hill Assisted Living. Born on April.2,1927, he was a son of the late George Harry and Greta (Malbeouf) Ainley. He was raised and educated in Manchester, NH and also attended the University of Vermont. He also served in the US Army. For most of his life George had worked in sales, primarily in computer sales and in later years real estate. He retired in the mid 1980's. Having grown up in New Hampshire Beau was an avid sportsman enjoying skiing, hunting, fishing, diving for lobsters (especially shorts), sailing, tennis and golf to an extent. He liked reading as well as working on crossword puzzles in his spare time. He also enjoyed playing musical instruments and entertaining. He was the loving father of Marshall Ainley of Fort Lauderdale, FL. Doug Ainley and his wife Ellen of Rehoboth, MA and the late Richard Ainley of Plymouth. He was the beloved brother of Constance Mayo of Manomet (Plymouth) and was predeceased by his sister Carol Hayden. He was the cherished grandfather of Katherine and Allison Ainley. A celebration of life in “Beau’s” honor will be held on January 16th at the Plymouth Yacht Club, Union St., Plymouth from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. Cremation will take place in Vine Hills Crematory, Plymouth.
