WAYLAND: Jessica Aufman passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 following a life-long battle with Sanfilippo Syndrome. She was born on August 28, 2002 to Cari Cornish and Matthew Aufman. Jessie attended The Children’s Way and Claypit Hill School in Wayland, as well as The Education Cooperative in East Walpole. Jessie participated for eight years in the Lovelane Special Needs Horseback Riding Program in Lincoln and was a beloved member of the community at Edwards Church in Framingham. Jessie will be best remembered for her infectious joy and laughter, which brightened the lives of all who knew her.
Besides her parents, Jessie is survived by brother, Dylan Aufman, who was her best friend and greatest champion by all accounts. Jessie is also survived by her grandparents Eleanor and James Aufman of Bolton, CT; Christine and James Richter of Webster, NY; Kevin and Susan McDonald of Geneva, NY; three great-grandparents Betty McDonald and Teresa and John Zugec, all of Geneva, NY; her aunts and uncles Robert Cornish and Heather Crockett of Hoosick Falls, NY; Stephen and Jaime Kenny of Webster, NY; Christopher and Yovonne Kenny of Charlotte, NC; Joseph and Maggie Kenny of Chili, NY; and Christopher and Erin Main of Geneva, NY; and many cousins, great aunts and uncles, and friends.
A Celebration of Jessie’s life will be held on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at 12:00 noon at Edwards, Church, 39 Edwards Street, Framingham.
