Mary Frances Rutigliano, 71, of Hampstead, NH, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Parkland Medical Center of Derry, NH surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Fitchburg, MA on November 26, 1944, daughter of the late W. Kenneth and Mary (Ambrose) Wiley.
She attended Fitchburg High School and Fitchburg State College where she received her bachelor's and master's degrees in education. She resided in Texas and Massachusetts where she taught Reading, English & Special Ed. to students from preschool to college before relocating with her family to Hampstead, NH. She enjoyed tutoring students with reading and writing difficulties throughout her career. Mary was an outstanding mother and wife, and a compassionate and loyal friend who loved helping people and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 41 years, Carl A. Rutigliano of Hampstead, her daughter, Sarah Linxweiler and husband Jacob of Merrimack, NH, her granddaughter, Lucy Linxweiler, one sister, Ann K. Wiley of Fitchburg, MA; three nieces, Carey Doucette of Fitchburg, Sascha Lockyer and her husband Brandon of West Newton, MA, and Windy Catino and her husband Michael of Boston, MA; as well as several grandnieces and grandnephews.
Calling hours were held on Monday, January 4, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry, NH. Funeral services were held on Tuesday January 5th at 10:30am in the funeral home with burial that followed in the Evergreen Cemetery, 357 Main Street, Leominster, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
It was a final request of Mary Frances that everyone come dressed in brightly colored attire.
