Leonard J. "Lenny" Noury, 91, of Manchester died December 30th, 2015 at a local healthcare facility after a brief illness.
Born in Manchester on January 23, 1924, he was the son of Stan and Yvonne (Bourque) Noury. He was educated in the local school system and attended Manchester West High School. He then served in the US Army during WWII in the artillery division.
Prior to retirement, he had owned and operated numerous grocery stores throughout the City, most notably Beechmont Market.
He will be remembered as a loyal, hardworking family man who cherished time spent with loved ones.
He was predeceased by his wife Doris (Jolicoeur) Noury in 2004, his son John Noury and his daughter-in-law Susan Noury.
Family members include two sons, Daniel Noury and his wife Pamela of Bedford, Paul Noury and his wife Kali of Tucson, Arizona; two daughters, Michele Noury of Newport Richey, FL and Denise Kelly of Hudson, FL; eight grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; a sister, Julie of Concord; nephews, nieces and cousins.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 2, 2016 in the chapel at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, Manchester.
