Obituary

Manchester– Joseph J. Deselle, 73, died December 29, 2015 with his wife by his side following a nine year battle with end stage Alzheimer’s disease.
He was born in Manchester on June 11, 1942 the son of Albert and Helena (Hendzel) Deselle.
He served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard.
He was a truck driver, and sales manager for Auto Electric for over 49 years and was the Commissioner of the Manchester Transit Authority from 2002– 2011.
He held membership in the League of 1000 Men of the Sister’s of the Precious Blood Monastery.
Joe was known as the gentle giant and was a devoted husband, brother and uncle.
Family members include his wife of 44 years, Carol Deselle, one brother, Andrew Deselle and his significant other, Catherine Audet, a former sister-in-law, Barbara Deselle, all of Manchester, one nephew Andrew Deselle and his wife, Farrah, one great nephew, Liam, one great niece, Lauren, all of Amherst, and a cousin, Frances Taylor of NY.
Calling hours will be on Friday from 4 to 7 PM at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 AM in St. Catherine of Siena Church, corner of Webster and Hemlock Sts.
Committal prayers and military honors will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hillsborough County Nursing Home, Alzheimer’s Unit A1, 400 Mast Rd. Goffstown NH 03045.
