Emma (Dello Russo) Simonetti of Medford died on Tuesday, December 29, at the Winchester Hospital. Born and raised in Boston’s North End, she was the daughter of the late Arcangelo and Giovannina (DeMarco) Dello Russo. Emma was employed as a records administrator for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
She was the devoted mother of Lisa Simonetti of Medford, and Janet Apostolos and her husband Nicholas of Winchester. Emma was the loving grandmother of Matthew and Jennie Apostolos of Winchester, and sister of the late Michael Dello Russo and Melinda Grande. She was the loving aunt of Donald Grande, his wife Elena, and their children Michael, Diana, Mark and Jonathan Grande, all of Winchester. Emma is also survived by her beloved dogs, especially Mimi.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Saturday, January 2, at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday, January 1, from 5 through 8 PM. Interment will be private.
