Devoted mother of Kathryn Palermo and her husband Anthony of Dedham and Victor Galeota of Dedham. Grandmother of Rosemarie Markell and her husband Adam of Dedham and Richard Palermo of Dedham. Great-grandmother of Sarah Markell. Sister of the late Edward J. Plunkett and his wife Elsbeth.
Graduate of Framingham State College, Class of 1943. Teacher in Boston and Dedham Public Schools. First lay teacher in St. Mary’s School, Dedham. Longtime CCD Teacher at St. Mary’s Church. Past President and driver for FISH of Dedham. Member of St. Mary’s Sodality, Dedham Women’s Club, and Framingham Alumni Association.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., DEDHAM, Saturday, Jan. 2 at 8am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary Church, Dedham at 9am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours at the funeral home on Friday, Jan. 1 from 4-8pm. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
