Fall River – Florence C. (Stafford) Machado, 85, of Westport died Thursday, June 9, 2005 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the widow of George A. Machado.
Mrs. Machado was born in Fall River, daughter of the late James N. and Florence (Wharmby) Stafford, and had resided in Westport for most of her life. Prior to her retirement she was a shipping clerk for the former Louis Hand Curtain Factory. She was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Fall River and of the V.F.W. Auxiliary Ouellette Post #8502, Westport.
She is survived by her lifelong companion: Joseph B. Fuller of Fall River; 2 nieces: Nancy J.G.-Innocenti of Chatham, MA and Beverly A. Stafford of Osterville, MA; a nephew: John R. Stafford of Wallingford, CT.
She was the sister of the late Francis “Jack” Stafford, Albert Stafford and James N. Stafford.
Graveside services to which relatives and friends are invited will be Monday, June 13, 2005 at Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport at 11:00 A.M.
