Nicholas Angelo, Jr., 83, passed away Monday, December 28, 2015 peacefully at his home.
He leaves his wife of 55 years, Rose A. (Gentili) Angelo, a daughter, Jayne M. Robbins and her husband Merrill of Thompson, CT, 2 sons, Nicholas Angelo III and his wife Patricia of Webster and Thomas M. Angelo of Fabyan, CT. Grandchildren; Danielle Robbins and her close friend Marcus Palmore, Eric Robbins and his wife Meghan, Nicholas Angelo IV, Brittany Angelo, Joseph and Jessica Franchi, Alexander, Hunter and Emily Angelo, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Nicholas was born in Fabyan, CT the son of the late Nicholas and Constantina (Geotis) Angelo, Sr. and lived in Webster for many years. Nick also leaves behind his faithful schnauzer companion Chloe.
He was predeceased by a brother, Vanghel Angelo and a sister, Cecelia Barrett.
He was a graduate of Tourtellotte Memorial High School and was inducted into their Hall of Fame as a member of one of the most winning Basketball Teams for 3 consecutive CT State Champion years- 1949, 1950, and 1951.
Mr. Angelo was a professional trailer truck driver for the Kenyon Oil Co. for 37 years and retired in 1993. He was a member of the Quinebaug Volunteer Fire Dept., enjoyed boating, he also followed the Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins and loved to golf.
Nick also enjoyed attending his children and grandchildren’s sporting events!
Calling Hours will be Wednesday, December 30, 2015 from 5-8PM at the ROBERT J. MILLER FUNERAL HOME and LAKE CHAPEL, 366 School St., Webster.
A Trisagion Service will be Wednesday at 8PM in the Funeral Home.
The Funeral will be Thursday, December 31, 2015 at 10 AM at Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 35 Lake Parkway, burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Webster.
