Minnie Wood Bullington, 101, of Pelham passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2015, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 31, 2015, at Ty Ty First Baptist Church with Rev. Rodney Owens officiating. Mrs. Bullington will be laid to rest at Ty Ty First Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 30, 2015, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Mrs. Bullington will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Bullington’s great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Born July 12, 1914, in Ben Hill County, Mrs. Bullington was the daughter of the late Everett Noah Wood, Sr. and Mary Ann Hogan Wood. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Grady Bullington; a son, Edward Wood; three sisters, Delia McLemore, Bertie Mae Corry and Essie Hammons; and four brothers, Everett Wood Jr., Lee Wood, Marvin Wood and Lumas Wood. She was a homemaker and member of Ty Ty First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Bullington is survived by one brother, Sam Wood of Norman Park; four grandchildren, Larry Wood, Gary Wood, James Wood and Mary Ann Carter; 12 great-grandchildren; and 23 great-great grandchildren.
