Frances Hundley Jernigan Hensley DeFusco passed away on December 28, 2015 at the age of 96. and has been laid to rest in Westover Memorial Park. Her children, Carol Ann Jernigan Cagle, Harry W. Jernigan, III, and Frank Jernigan, and other family members are gathering in Augusta to celebrate her life this week. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a very proud great-great-grandmother. She is also survived by her sister, Dorothy Young Teuton. Her family members also include her 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was a devoted follower of her Lord and Savior and asked everyone to rejoice rather than mourn as she is now in a better place.
