Obituary

LYNCH Francis E. Jr., of West Dennis, formerly of Milton, West Roxbury, and Brookline, Dec. 28, 2015. Born in Boston, he was a “Double Eagle,” a graduate of Boston College, Class of 1957 and Boston College High School.

He served his country in the U.S. Army. Loving father of Francis E. Lynch, III of West Dennis, Gregory P. Lynch of West Dennis, Carolyn Lynch Egan of Moretown, VT. and Paul S. Lynch of West Dennis and two grandsons, John H. Egan and William P. Egan. Brother of Paul Lynch and Richard Lynch both of Jacksonville FL. Former husband of Patricia T. Lynch of Quincy.

Funeral from the P.E. Murray - F.J. Higgins, George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home 2000 Centre St. West Roxbury Sat. Jan. 2nd at 9am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ignatius of Loyola Church, Chestnut Hill at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Friday Jan. 1st from 3-7pm. Private burial Holyhood Cemetery, Brookline.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Francis’s memory to Boston College High School, 150 Morrissey Blvd., Boston, MA 02125.

LYNCH Francis E. Jr., of West Dennis, formerly of Milton, West Roxbury, and Brookline, passed away on Dec. 28, 2015. Former Regional Sales Manager of Black and Decker (U.S.)., Inc., Consumer Products Division. Born in Boston. He was a “Double Eagle”, a graduate of Boston College, Class of 1957, and Boston College High School, Class of 1953. He served his country in the U.S. Army.

Mr. Lynch was a member of the staff at Massachusetts Maritime Academy in Buzzards Bay where he was Media Services Director for several years. In his earlier years, he was a camp counselor at the St. Pierre School of Sport in Vineyard Haven on Martha’s Vineyard where he taught sailing, swimming, and Red Cross Life Saving. He was Freshman Class President of the Boston College, Class of 1957, Vice President of the Gold Key Society, and was Silver Anniversary Chairman of his Class in 1982. He was also Class Correspondent for the Boston College Magazine, and member of the Class Board of Directors. He formerly served on the Board of Trustees of Boston College High School and “Por Christo”, the Boston Archdiocesan, medical missionary to South America.

He was an avid skier and sailor. He is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Lynch Egan of Moretown, VT., and three sons Francis E. Lynch III, Gregory P. Lynch, and Paul S. Lynch all of West Dennis and two grandsons John H. Egan and William P. Egan. His brothers Paul J. Lynch and Richard J. Lynch both of Jacksonville, FL. and Francis’ former wife Patricia T. Lynch of Quincy.
