Thomas Marvin “T.M.” Tison, 81, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Thursday, June 9, 2005, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Sunday, June 12, 2005, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Fitzgerald, with Rev. Bobby Stone officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7:00 until 9:00, Saturday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Tison was born February 8, 1924, in Ben Hill County, Georgia, to the late Joseph and Clara Bell Watson Tison. Having lived in the community all of his life, he was a former security guard for Deep South Products, a former truck driver for Elixir Industries, a former employee of Coca-Cola Bottling Company and supervised a community service detail for the Ben Hill County Sheriff’s Department. Mr. Tison served in the United States Navy and was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
Mr. Tison is survived by his wife: Dottie Tison of Fitzgerald; sons: Tommy Tison of Mesa Arizona, Robert Wayne Tison of Fitzgerald and James Randall Tison of Albany; stepdaughter: Jessica Sulatycki of Fitzgerald; stepson: Kevin Green of Fitzgerald; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.
