Frances Marie Fendley, 73, of Tifton, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2015, at Tift Regional Medical Center. A graveside funeral service will be held for Ms. Fendley at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Zion Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Tifton, where she will be laid to rest. Rev. Joey Whitley will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 29, 2015, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Born June 15, 1942 in Ocala, Florida, Ms. Fendley was the daughter of the late Willie Wesley Fendley and Susie Mae Turner Fendley. She was also preceded in death by five sisters. She was a Tift County resident most of her life and a longtime textile worker, primarily at Queen Carpet of Tifton. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.
Ms. Fendley is survived by her son and his spouse, Billy and Amy Hancock of Ocilla; daughter, Michelle Tucker of Tifton; sisters, Dorothy Lassiter of Tifton and Joann Dube of Abbeville; grandchildren, Anna Hancock, Callie Hancock, Justin and Alison Tucker, Devin Tucker and Cassandra Berkowit z and Sean Watson; and great-grandchildren, D. J. and Remmy Tucker.
