TAUNTON – Dorothy (Correia) Rego, wife of the late Louis B. Rego, Jr. died at Morton Hospital on Dec. 25, 2015.
She was 87.
Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph M. and Lucy (Medeiros) Correia.
A lifelong Taunton resident, she was a graduate of Taunton High School.
Mrs. Rego was employed by Trucchi’s Supermarkets as a computer operator for many years.
She retired in 1992.
A communicant of Annunciation of the Lord Church and member of the Women’s Guild, Mrs. Rego was an active member of the THS Class of 1946 reunion committee.
She was also a member or the Red Hatters and enjoyed sewing, reading, photography, word puzzles, casinos and dancing.
Survivors include her son, Kenneth L. Rego and his wife Norine of Taunton; 3 grandchildren, Tricia L. Goodwin and her husband Donald of CA, Paul K. Rego of Dorchester and Ryan M. Robidoux of New Bedford; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also the mother of the late Brenda J. Robidoux, and was predeceased by her sisters, Rosemarie Martin and Ramona Johnson, stepfather, Manuel Rogers and stepbrother Harold Rogers.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Thursday, Dec. 31st at 12 noon followed by a funeral mass at Annunciation of the Lord Church at 1 p.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, Dec. 30th from 5 to 8 p.m.
