Obituary

Richard B. “Dick” Taylor, 65, died Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Hathorne Hill Healthcare in Danvers following an extended illness.
Born in Beverly on June 24, 1950, he was the son of the late James H. and Martha J. (Bresnahan) Taylor. A lifelong resident of Beverly, he was a graduate of Beverly High School class of 1970.
He was employed as a bus driver for the former Michaud Bus Line, the former ABC Bus Line and the Beverly public schools for several years, before retiring in 2007. He was also once employed as a truck driver and yardman at the former Gove Lumber Co. for nineteen years.
Dick was a unit commissioner for Troop and Pack #51 in Danvers for the Boy Scouts of America. He was also an avid amateur ham radio operator and he especially loved spending summer’s at the family cottage on Rock Haven Lake in West Newfield, Maine.
He is survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law, M. Joanna and Allen Moulton of West Newfield, ME and Cynthia D. and Carl Kersting of Beverly; three nephews, James Moulton and John Moulton and his wife, Jenn all of West Newfield, ME and Jonathan Kersting and his wife, Julie of Marlboro; a niece, Kandis Hayes and her husband, Shawn of Arundel, ME; seven great-nieces and nephews, Brianna and Elizabeth Hayes of Arundel, ME, Caeleigh and Kendrick Moulton of West Newfield, ME and James, Nathaniel and Shannon Kersting all of Marlboro and several cousins.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday in the Grondin Funeral Home, 376 Cabot Street, Beverly from 4 – 7 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Funeral services will be privately held in the Central Cemetery, Beverly. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the National Kidney Foundation, 85 Astor Ave., Suite 2, Norwood, MA 02062, Newfield Fire Dept., P.O.
