Mr. McAree was a WWII Army veteran, entering the military at Ft. Devens, Massachusetts on December 23, 1943 and receiving his honorable discharge as a Sargent (Technician Third Grade) at Ft. Devens on May 6, 1946. While in the Army, Bill worked as an Intercept Operation's Specialist. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, the American Theater Campaign Ribbon and the Victory Medal for his exemplary service.
