B. Paul Krikorian, 89, of Airlie St., passed away on Wednesday December 23, at UMass Medical Center,surrounded by his loving family.
Paul was born on July 3, 1926 a son of the late Bedros Krikorian and Altoon (Mechigian) Krikorian Simonian and was a lifelong resident of the City of Worcester. Paul was a graduate of South High School and following his graduation he went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Merchant Marines. He also served as a medic during the Korean War, where he earned a Purple Heart. After his discharged from the armed forces he returned home where he married Gladys Benneyan.
Mr. Krikorian was a founding member and Plant Superintendent of the Spencer Products Company where he worked until his retirement.
Mr. Krikorian was a founding member of the A.A.C.C.(Armenian American Civic Club), an Assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 48, and the Assistant Basketball Coach for the Church of Our Saviour Youth Team.
He will be deeply missed by his wife of 62 years Gladys, his children, Kathie Winchenbach and her husband Jeffrey of Portland, ME; Paul Krikorian and his wife Jane of San Diego, CA; Robert Krikorian and his wife Paola of Bethesda, MD; his sisters, Pearl McBride of Worcester and Anne Paelian of Huntsville, AL; five grandchildren, Amie, Alexander, Emma, Keith and Sofia and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, George.
Visiting hours for Paul will be held on Monday December 28th from 2:00 until 4:00pm with a Dahngark Service to begin at 3:30pm at the CALLAHAN-FAY & CASWELL FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10:30am at the Armenian Church ofOur Saviour, 87 Salisbury St., Worcester. Burial is to follow at Hope Cemetery.
