CHICOPEE – Nicole L. “Nikki” (Baril) Gurski, 49, of the Fairview section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Sunday, December 20, 2015. She passed into Eternal Life at the Holyoke Medical Center surrounded by all the memories she loved and cherished. She was born in Boston on July 24, 1966, a beloved daughter of the late Guy L. Baril and Wanda E. (Kulaga) Baril. She came to Chicopee at a young age where she later graduated from Chicopee Comprehensive High School. Nikki was a loving person who had loved her family dearly and had many friends. She touched many lives and they will forever cherish her memory in their hearts. Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her loving husband, Scott D. Gurski who was Called Home on January 24, 2008. She leaves her loving aunt, Marguerite Y. DesRochers of Naples, FL; her two loving sisters-in-law, Denise Gurski of Chicopee and Michelle Charette and her husband, Nathan, and their two children, Cameron and Caden, all of Holyoke; her loving father-in-law and mother-in-law, Donald and Kathy Gurski of Chicopee; and her loving grandmother-in-law, Mary Szadek of Chicopee. In addition, Nikki leaves many cherished cousins and friends including her longtime friend, Kathy Charette of Chicopee. Her relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. which will be followed by a Prayer Service at 6:30 p.m. at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her burial will be private. The parking lot and main entrance are located in the rear of the funeral home at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
