Obituary

Yuriy N. Tatashin, 60, of Londonderry, passed away Tuesday December 22, 2015, surrounded by his family at his residence, after a lengthy illness. He was born December 6, 1955 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, a son of the late Nicolai A. and Iraida V. (Kisileva) Tatashin. He moved with his family to Dnipropetrovsk in Ukraine at the age of 12, after a devastating earthquake. He received a Master of Science degree from the Ukrainian State Chemical Technology University. After graduation Yuriy moved to Sevastopol, Crimea. He and his family relocated to Londonderry in 1999.

Mr. Tatashin worked for the past 10 years with Nx Stage Medical Corp. as a Chemical Engineer, where he obtained a patent for his work with water treatment systems. He was a lifelong musician, beginning to play the violin at age 4. He played with several orchestras and most recently was a member of the Merrimack Valley Philharmonic Orchestra in Andover, MA. Mr. Tatashin also enjoyed playing the guitar and traveling. He was an avid and accomplished white water rafter and conquered the most difficult rafting river in Siberia.

Members of the family include his beloved wife of 37 years, Olga (Labkova) Tatashin of Londonderry, his daughter and her husband, Anna and Konstantin Reverdatto, of Cary, NC, his son and his wife, Pavel and Alina Tatashin of Nashua, five grandsons, Victor, Mark, David, Peter and Benjamin and his niece, Irina Tatashin of Ukraine.

A Graveside service was held at 1 pm, Thursday December 24, 2015 in Pillsbury Cemetery, Hovey Road in Londonderry. The family will celebrate a Service in his honor at a later date.
