Lynn Christine Ayres, age 70, passed away on Saturday, December 19th in San Antonio, Texas where she had been a resident for the past 25 years. Born on October 16, 1945, to Beatrice and Frank Williams, Chris was raised in Houston, Texas and graduated from Lamar High School. After graduation, Chris attended Stephen F. Austin and later The University of Texas at Austin where she earned a Master's in Mathematics. Chris returned to Houston after graduation to become a teacher and where she met Tom. Tom and Chris were married on June 26, 1971.
In her 30 years of teaching, Chris touched many lives and taught all ages from elementary school to college. Chris is proceeded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Thomas Henry Ayres, her daughter Caycie Christine Briner and her husband Briggs and their children Briggs, Brant and Kinsley; her sisters Donna Sage and her husband Larry, Linda Burns and her husband Richard.
Chris was a loving mother, wife, sister, friend and "Cissy". Those who knew Chris knew she never met a stranger and will miss her warm and loving heart and her kind and loving attitude. Chris will be dearly missed by all her family and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday January 10, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Haw Creek Church in Round Top with interment to follow in the Florida Chapel Cemetery near Round Top under the care and direction of Fayette Memorial Funeral Home of La Grange.
