TAUNTON – Margarida (Capela) Fraga, wife of the late Manuel Fraga, died at Longmeadow of Taunton, on Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015.
She was 100 years old.
Born in Lisbon, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Francisco and Ana (Teixeira) Capela.
She moved to this area in 1976 and worked as a packer for Parker Brothers for many years.
She was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church and enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.
Besides her husband, she leaves four daughters, Aurora Vieira of CT, Maria J. DaFonte of Taunton; Idilia Silveira of Cambridge, Ontario, Canada and Maria Lima of Taunton; many grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also mother to the late Antonio Fraga.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Thursday, Dec. 24th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Anthony’s Church at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, Dec. 23rd from 5 to 8 p.m.
