Encarnação Raposo, age 91, of Somerset, passed away on December 20, 2015 surrounded by her loving family at St. Anne’s Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Silvano Raposo. She was born in Porto Furmoso, São Miguel, Açores but lived in Capelas for many years. Daughter of the late João and Rosa da Costa Lauriano. Prior to retirement she worked as a machine operator at Santoro Mfg.
Encarnação leaves behind her 4 daughters Rose Correia of Tiverton, Maria Fatima Pereira (husband João) of Somerset, Maria Gabriela Gagne of Somerset and Maria Manuela Vertentes (husband João) of Tiverton; grandchildren Elizabeth Ann Sousa, Daniel and Sarah Vertentes, Thomas and Jennifer Gagne, and Adam, Louis and Amanda Correia; great-grandchildren Christian and Isabella Sousa, Lyle Gagne and Vanessa Correia. She was predeceased by 1 brother and 6 sisters.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Wednesday here at 8 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial St. John of God Church at 9 A.M.
