Raymond A. Long, Jr. of Hawthorne, NY passed away on December 8, 2015 at Bethel Nursing Home, Ossining. He was 88. Mr. Long worked as the Superintendant of Mount Pleasant Cemetery until his retirement in 1993. Raymond was born December 8, 1927 in Mt. Kisco to Raymond A. and Mary McLean Longo. He served in the US Navy as a Seabee during World War II in the South Pacific. He belonged, as a life member to the American Legion Post 0112 for 70 years and a member of the VFW. Surviving are one son Raymond “Randy” Long, 2 Step daughters Dawn Longo Rowe and Virginia Longo Lopez. Pre deceased by his first wife Marilyn Terns Longo, and second wife Nancy Keiderer Long and one son Jeffrey R. Long. Graveside Services at Mount Pleasant Cemetery will be held at a later time.
