James V. Wright, 72, of Plymouth, formerly of Whitman, passed away on December 17th at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of 50 years to Christina (Perry) Wright.
He was born in Boston, son of the late John J. and Margaret (Donahue) Wright. Jim was a graduate of Boston English High School.
Jim worked as a Systems Analyst for Shawmut Bank and Commercial Union Insurance. He enjoyed watching all Boston sports teams, spending time with special friends, woodworking and being on his computer, but his ultimate joy was being with his family, watching them grow and reveling in their accomplishments.
In addition to his wife Christina, he is survived by his children, Cheryl Sartanowicz and her husband Philip of CA., Janet Wright of Quincy, Lynda Wright of NH, James M. Wright and his wife Jeannine of FL, and Arlene Wright of FL; his grandchildren Jenifer and Matthew Sartanowicz, Christopher Wright, Killian Wright; his brother and sisters, Agnes Holland of Medford, Margaret Finnegan of Taunton, John Wright and his wife Elizabeth of FL, Marie Joyce of Dorchester, his brother-in-law’s, George Perry, John Perry and his wife Mary Joe of Hyde Park; and also many loving nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Helen Wright
His funeral services will be held on Tuesday December 22nd at 9:45AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St ( Rte 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30AM in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman. Visitation will be held on Monday December 21st from 4:00-8:00.
