Adele Williamson Land, 88, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died December 18, 2015, at her son’s residence in Byron.
Graveside services will be held 2 PM, Monday, December 21, 2015, at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, Ben Hill County, with Rev. Ike Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Land was born April 22, 1927 in Ben Hill County, Georgia, to the late George Frederick Allen Williamson and Appie Paul Williamson. She lived in the Fitzgerald community all of her life; and was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees at Warner Robins Air Force Base; and a member of Dorminy Mill Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children: Glenda Wilson of Fitzgerald and James Land of Byron; four grandchildren, Dawn Stokes and husband Greg of Fitzgerald, Bryan Land and wife Sara of Byron, Greg Land and wife Jodi of Byron and Woody J. Wilson IV of Fitzgerald; eleven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Robbie Wilson and eight brothers and sisters.
