George F. Dillon age 83 of Milton passed away December 17th surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Dorchester, he graduated from Dorchester High School and Western New England College. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. George was a member of the Milton American Legion Post 114 and was an avid golfer and Boston Sports fan and most especially enjoyed attending all of his children’s and grandchildren’s events. George was a member of the Milton Police Department for 40 years retiring in 1996 as a sergeant. He was the Training Sergeant for the department and also was the Milton Dog Officer for many years, and previously worked for Bosworth Sanitation, Hendries Ice Cream and drove for White Cab. Beloved husband for 59 years of Ann J. (Carroll). Father of Katharine Doten and her husband James of Enfield, CT, Michael Dillon and his wife Mary of Braintree, Thomas Dillon and his wife Elisa of Braintree, Barbara DeSouza of Enfield, CT, Maureen Brady and her husband James of Marshfield and Jeanne Dillon of Quincy. Grandfather of Julie and Kevin Doten; Conor, Jarrod, and Cameron Dillon; Kelsey, Brianne, Allyson and Jaina Dillon; Dillon DeSouza; and Jacob and Saoirse Brady. Brother of Joe Kelsey of Brookline. He was predeceased by brother Arthur and a sister Joan. Funeral mass at St. Elizabeth Church Milton Tuesday morning at 10. Visiting hours at the Alfred D.
