Obituary


Michael M. Gaynor of Canton died Wednesday December 16, 2015, following a long illness. He was 78 years old.

Devoted husband of Norma Jean Gaynor (Macdonald). Loving father of Danna Gaynor Muir and her husband David of Bridgewater and Wendy M. Devine and her husband David of Taunton. Proud grandfather of David and Kelly Devine and David and Michael Muir. Loving son of the late James and Loretta Gaynor (McInerney). Loving brother of Jane Twomey and her husband Bill of Chatham, Sheila Gaynor of Chatham, Sara Strickland and her husband Bob of Rockland and the late James Gaynor, Maureen Smith, Gerald Gaynor, Nancy MacLellan, and Peter Gaynor. Brother-in-law of Shirley Gaynor of Brockton, Patricia Gaynor of Norwell, Barbara Gaynor of Holbrook and the late Murray Smith and Ronald MacLellan. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Michael was born in Randolph, graduated from Randolph High School, and was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Michael worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a Letter Carrier in Randolph for 41 years and for Apollo International at Computershare in Canton for many years.

Visiting hours Sunday, December 20, 2015 from 2-6 PM in the Roache-Pushard Family Funeral Home, 210 Sherman St., Canton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:30 AM in St. John the Evangelist Church 700 Washington St., Canton. Interment Canton Corner Cemetery.
