John A. “Jack” Walsh of Milton, formerly of Quincy passed away December 18th at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Boston, he grew up in Brighton and graduated from Boston English High School class of 1941 and Suffolk University class of 1950. He went on to earn his Master’s in Education and Guidance and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Administration from Boston State. He was a member of the Boston Police Department for 7 years before he went on to a career with the Dedham Public Schools where he was a teacher, the School Adjustment Councilor, and Principal of the Dexter and Ames School before retiring in 1985. Jack was an avid golfer and a member of Norfolk Country Club in Westwood. He was a Navy Veteran of WW II. Beloved husband of the late Kathleen T. (Deery). Father of Kathleen J. Maguire and her late husband Peter of Beverly, John V. Walsh and his wife Dorene of Milton, MaryAnn C. McMenamy and her husband David of Falmouth, William F. Walsh and his wife Joan of Milton and Donna C. Swanson and her husband Scott of Milton. Brother of the late Lorraine Gibbons, Joan Gelinis, and Charles W. Walsh. Also survived by 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral mass at St. Agatha Church Milton Wednesday morning at 10:00. Visiting hours at the Alfred D.
