Regina M. (Garvey) O'Neill, a lifelong Charlestown resident, entered into eternal life suddenly at her home in Charlestown surrounded by her family due to complications with heart disease. She was 55 years old.
Regina was born in Somerville on August 13, 1960, a daughter of Lillian M. (Brophy) Garvey. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Madison Park High School in 1978. Regina furthered her education and received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Bunker Hill Community College. Regina worked for several years as a receptionist for a local insurance company. Regina is best remembered for her fondness of travel with her late husband James. She also enjoyed her many trips with friends of the Mystic Railway Society.
Regina is the beloved daughter of Lillian M. (Brophy) Garvey of Charlestown. She is the beloved wife of the late James O'Neill. She is the devoted sister of Kevin Garvey and his companion Eva of Wakefield, John Garvey and his wife Denyce of Chelsea and Daniel Garvey and his wife Holly of Middletown, Rhode Island. She is the loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. She is the beloved daughter-in-law of Patricia O'Neill of Peabody. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Regina's Funeral on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 9 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown at 10 A.M. Her burial is private. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, December 21, 2015 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.
