Fate Lafayette Lamb

Fate Lafayette Lamb, 80, of Anderson went to be with the Lord December 16, 2015.
He was born, November 18, 1935 in Sneedville, Tenn., to Willie and Lizzie (Lawson) Lamb.
He was a fork lift driver for 30 years before retiring in 1987 from Fisher Body in Marion. He also worked at National Tile in Anderson. He owned and operated Lamb's Service Station at 23rd and Meridian in Anderson.
He was an avid bowler and golf player. He enjoyed playing Euchre in Card Club and enjoyed making Sunday dinner for his family.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Nancy (Steiner) Lamb of Anderson, three children, Gregory Lamb, Karen (Lamb) (Danny) McClintick, Sharon (Lamb) Bridwell (Ralph) Oakley, eight grandchildren, Daniel (Terri) McClintick, Melissa (Luke) Blankenberger (expecting new great grandson in March), Cristin Bridwell, Brittney (Ronnie) Bott, Megan Bridwell, Cortney Bridwell, Aaron Oakley and Chad Oakley, great-grandchildren, Katlynn (Matt) Collins, Danielle McClintick, Kolton McClintick, Destinee Roudebush, Tyler McClintick, Donavan McClintick, Caleb Bott, Carson Bott, Farrah Bott, Fayte Bridwell, Xander Oakley, Caine Oakley, great-great-grandson, Branson Collins, siblings, Charlie Lamb, James (Bobbie) Lamb, Tyler (Diana) Lamb, Neil (Laura) Lamb and Connie (Carl) Williams all of Sneedville, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law, sister, Grace Mathews, father-in-law, Clarence Steiner, mother-in-law, Pauline Steiner Hatton; two very special sisters-in-law, Cassie Lamb and Kathleen Lamb, son-in-law, Brent Bridwell and very special daughter-in-law, Marla Hunt.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Allen Lamb officiating.
Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12:30 until the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Salvation Army.
