Obituary

Yellope, Patricia “Patti” Ann (Clark), 65, of Bellingham, passed away on December 15, 2015 at the Deutsches Altenheim German Center in West Roxbury after a long period of sickness which begin in 1998. Beloved wife of Joseph “Joe” C. Yellope Jr. Devoted mother of David M. Yellope and Joseph “Jody” C. Yellope III both of Franklin. Loving daughter of Patricia (Greene) Clark of Jamaica Plain and the late Frank Clark. Devoted sister of Frank W. Clark Jr., and his wife Bobbie of TX., Ann E. Birle and her husband Hans of Westwood, Martha Sutherland and her husband Rae of ME., Paul Clark and his wife Clare of West Roxbury, Robert Clark and his wife Jennifer of Scituate, and the late Stephen, David, and Eric Clark. Also survived by 16 nieces and nephews.

Born on September 23, 1950 in Boston, Massachusetts, Patti was the second eldest of nine children born to Patricia (Greene) Clark and Frank Clark. Patti lived in Boston until age 19, when she and Joseph were married.

After graduating from Blessed Sacrament high school in Boston, Patti attended Bridgewater State College where she graduated in 1973 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Education. After graduation, and prior to beginning her family, Patti worked as an elementary school teacher in Wareham.

Patti and Joe began their family in August of 1974 with the birth of their first son David, named in honor of her late brother of the same name. Their family expanded in July of 1977 with the birth of their second son Jody. During this time the family lived in Wareham and then Bourne. The family moved to Franklin in 1981 and remained there until 2011 when Patti and Joe moved to Bellingham.

Beginning with David’s birth in 1974, Patti spent the next decade raising her and Joe’s children. She returned to the workforce in the mid-1980s as a substitute teacher in the Franklin public school system. Never one to settle into one activity or area of interest for too long, Patti moved on to other opportunities and soon began working full time as a bank teller. Her time in the bank served her well several years later when she decided to become a licensed Realtor. She spent approximately five years working first as a Realtor and then as a real estate office manager in Milford. Once again desiring a new challenge, Patti transitioned back to the banking world and worked as the executive assistant to the President of a local bank in Medway, while simultaneously beginning a course of study to become a licensed paralegal and Notary Public. With her paralegal certificate in hand she decided to focus on real estate law and property conveyancing, allowing her to leverage the experience she’d gained in her previous banking and real estate roles. Patti worked as a real estate paralegal until she initially became ill in 1998.

In her personal time, Patti took pleasure in a variety of creative interests, most notably quilting, sewing, crocheting, and knitting. She was always making something, and took much joy in planning and making handmade craft gifts for all of her family members each Christmas. Her social time was primarily focused on family which she valued above all else. She and her husband Joe were inseparable, spending each free waking moment by each other’s sides. They enjoyed vacationing with friends in Nassau in the Bahamas at least once per year.
